If you have an issue to discuss, that is fine. You ought to be able to make the window remember its size and location, and you ought to be able to use a larger font, but FD has just never regarded this as important enough to do anything about it. The crappy "Notes" window is my main gripe. I have had lots of critical things to say about Final Draft through the years. You will then be able to use ENTER to create blank lines. Choose the Character Map to open this utility Select the font youre using in Final Draft (most likely Courier Final Draft) Look for the character you want Select, copy and paste that character into Final Draft. Just choose File | New | From Stationery | Text Documents | Text Document. If you want to create a special document (not a script), you can use a non-screenplay template. When you are writing a script, of any kind, Final Draft will let you do what you are supposed to do. This will let you insert as many line breaks as you want. If it did not do this, people would get sloppy and would put too many spaces between paragraphs.Ģ. The program knows that you are supposed to type something when you are on a new line, so it disallows using ENTER to advance down the page. FD is not a word processor it is a script formatter. You are correct that when you have just hit the ENTER key, you cannot just keep hitting ENTER to advance the cursor down the page.
